I like the first site that you posted. Putting the style in the div where was that at? I must have missed it somehow. I found the same site stopdesign. Im glad you figured it out because I’m still fiddling with it. Maybe we will have some time in class today and you can explain it in a simpler way for me.

Im going to have to read the the article on float theory. You and Katie have the same one. Whats your favorite part of float? I see how you mentioned that people blame float for several different problems with the way it floats things around it. Im going to search for tutorials or links that show this because i think thats what they mean by breaking float

My problem is I always forget the math part. I usually have the width of the container and then completely forget about padding and margin for the rest of the columns inside it. I’ll get the hang of it though.

I love the concept of float layouts, and the idea is simple enough. However, I still get a little confused on the math of it ( sounds stupit I know). But it gets me everytime! I am anxious to get to the point where I am more fluid with it all.

I like how the person in the second link said “Before you do anything, the most important thing you can do for your learning process is accept that a) it’s going to take time, and b) you will be frustrated along the way.”

Sometimes it’s hard to look at the big picture and keep a positive outlook, but the worst that could happen is they don’t like it, and hopefully it’s something that can be fixed without the world ending. Hopefully.

I used to be the same way. I never knew where to begin designing-wise, just went on photoshop, came up with whatever and then created a layout from that image cause I always needed an image for inspiration. Now, I feel organized, I can look at something, picture, business card, etc., draw and outline of a layout, then do a grid, figure out the colors (cause I’m still designing for myself here, for a client, they can choose and then we work it out) then create the layout and just work from there. Creating anything is practically impossible for me; editing is NOT. Thanks to A.I.D, I feel more confident now when it comes to designing. I want to go out and design for whoever now.
